Description
Bororó is an autobiographical comic that draws on my experiences as an immigrant in the United States, told through the lens of a superhero story. This is a love letter for my love of comics, games, and manga, taking bits and pieces from all of the works that have inspired me over the years to create a story of my own
Role
I was responsible for writing, storyboarding, paneling, and illustrating the whole thing. The first issue was produced during a comics project class during my Junior year at USC, where we created a comic to print and sell during the comics festival at the end of the semester. This project opened my eyes to the power of comics as a medium for storytelling, and it is my goal to publish more issues in the near future
